Are you looking for full-time, part-time or are you a student looking for holiday work? We are recruiting for Care Assistants/Carers to come and work with us in Wantage and the surrounding towns and villages.

Hours:             Flexible - full time, part time, bank, weekend
Pay Rates:      £9.65 - £15.70 Experienced Carers
£11.50 - £ 16.80 Senior Carers

We would also like to hear from you if you wish to start a new career in Care. We offer full training.

£8.80 - £12.80 New to Care

Contracted hours are available -  Paid travel time and mileage -  Free in-house training programme - Option of a car lease

Job Description:

To help support and maintain a service user’s active role in their local community. To promote independence and help the service user deal with their day-to-day lives.

What we need you to do

  • Help the people we support in their own homes to maintain and increase their independence.

  • Empowering people to try new things.

  • Help with daily care: personal care, such as bathing and dressing

  • Light domestic duties

  • Basic food preparation

  • Medication administration (full training given on all tasks)

What we need you to have

  • A caring nature that can be transformed into a rewarding career.

  • A passion to promote independence to our service users.

  • A willingness to expand your knowledge about various parts of the job.

  • Good communication skills (written and verbal).

  • Good planning skills and you will be required to work to a tight schedule.

  • An ability to build strong working relationships.

  • A strong sense of initiative.

  • Excellent team worker

Desirables

  • Work experience within the industry.

  • NVQ or Diploma in Health & Social care.
